About

Follifoot Park Riding Centre is owned and run by Chris and Julie Pedley, along with their son Toby and daughter Ellie-Jay. The whole family is very passionate about the Centre and all play a big part in the day to day running of the yard.

Chris is a Master Farrier and has an onsite forge at the Centre. As well as being a Farrier Chris is always busy around the yard but tries to spend as much time as possible keeping his horses ridden and fit. Toby is also a qualified Farrier and is working for himself and along side Chris. Julie holds the ABRS TC, Principles Diploma and BHS AI, also is a Trustee of the  ABRS. Ellie-Jay has qualified as a Coach and enjoys riding and competing.

The Centre (FPRC) is located on the southern outskirts of Harrogate, where we offer riding tuition catering for all standards from absolute beginners to advanced riders. In addition to this we have excellent livery facilities for those with their own horses.

Established in 1986 we pride ourselves on our friendly staff and efficient service. We place great emphasis on the care of both horse and rider. We have strong links with the local community and are proud to be home to the Follifoot Park Disabled Riders Group. We also run Follifoot Park Young Riders Club, which our younger riders are welcome to join.

Our horses and ponies are carefully hand picked by Julie and the team; they are very versatile and can change from one discipline to another depending on your riding abilities.

Many of the horses are used for our disabled friends so have superb temperaments, these are also suitable for our nervous riders. Other horses enjoy more lively activities such as jumping, hacking, horseball and more.

Our aim is making horse riding fun! We want to give you the opportunity to reach your goals no matter how big or small.

Meet some of the riding centre's favourites!
